Here at PETNS we are committed to ensuring the welfare and safety of all the children in our school community. We strongly believe that children should learn in an environment that is supportive, caring, positive and safe.
Safeguarding is about ensuring that children are protected from all forms of harm, including bullying or ill-treatment.
Please see our school Child Safeguarding Statement below which outlines the procedures in place to safeguard the children in our school community from risk of harm.
This Child Safeguarding Statement was drafted by staff and the Board of Management to meet criteria set out in Circular 81/2017 “Child Protection Procedures for Primary and PostPrimary Schools 2017” and in accordance to the guidelines included in the Children’s First Act 2015.
The Board of Management invite our parents and guardians to review this document and provide feedback.
We are hosting a feedback session on Wednesday 17th January at 8.45am in our Parents’ Room.
