Book Lists & School Contributions 2026–2027

At Powerstown Educate Together National School, we are committed to providing every child with an excellent education while keeping costs to families as low as possible.

We are delighted to participate in the Department of Education’s Free Primary Schoolbooks Scheme, which means parents and guardians no longer need to purchase schoolbooks or textbooks for their child.

While the Government scheme covers schoolbooks, it does not fund many of the day-to-day resources that children use throughout the school year. To ensure every pupil has access to these resources from the beginning of the school year, the school collects a modest annual School Contribution.

School Contribution

The annual contribution for the 2026–2027 school year is:

  • €50 per pupil (Junior Infants – 5th Class)

  • €70 per pupil (6th Class), which includes the cost of the 6th Class Graduation Hoodie.

The School Contribution helps cover the cost of:

  • Arts, crafts and practical classroom materials

  • Photocopying and printing

  • Digital learning resources and educational software

  • 24-hour pupil personal accident insurance

  • Stationery for Junior Infants and Senior Infants

By collecting one annual contribution, we can provide these resources for all pupils without requesting multiple payments throughout the school year.

Stationery

Junior Infants & Senior Infants

All stationery required for Junior Infants and Senior Infants is supplied by the school and is included in the annual School Contribution.

1st Class – 6th Class

Parents and guardians are asked to purchase their child’s stationery as outlined on the relevant class book list. We kindly ask that all items are clearly labelled with your child’s name before the start of the school year.

Making Your Payment

School Contributions are payable online through Aladdin Payments.

Please log in to your Aladdin Connect account and select the Aladdin Payments option to complete your payment securely.

Choosing the Correct Class

When making your payment, please select the class your child will be attending from September 2026, not the class they completed in June.

For example:

  • Junior Infants → Senior Infants

  • Senior Infants → 1st Class

  • 1st Class → 2nd Class

  • 2nd Class → 3rd Class

  • 3rd Class → 4th Class

  • 4th Class → 5th Class

  • 5th Class → 6th Class (€70 contribution)

Payment Deadline

To allow the school to purchase and prepare resources before pupils return, we kindly ask that School Contributions are paid by Friday, 4th September 2026, where possible.

Payment Plans

We understand that the start of a new school year can place additional financial pressure on families.

If you would prefer to spread the cost of the School Contribution, flexible payment plans can be arranged. Please contact the school office in confidence, and we will be happy to discuss a payment schedule that works for your family.

Thank You

Thank you for your continued support of Powerstown Educate Together National School.

Your School Contribution enables us to provide every child with high-quality learning resources, creative experiences, digital technologies and a safe, inclusive learning environment from the very first day of school.
