The Student Council invites all our boys and girls

The Student Council invites all our boys and girls to wear their comfies or their pjs on Friday September 25th in aid of the Irish Red Cross efforts in Nepal. We kindly ask that pupils donate €2 for this worthy cause to help those affected by the devastating floods in the country of Nepal.

Today the pupils of Powerstown ETNS marked Interna

Today the pupils of Powerstown ETNS marked International Peace Day with class performances and a visit from our local TD and the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Services, Reform and Digitalisation, Jack Chambers. The student council were our masters of the ceremony as they delivered our pupils' ideas and messages for Peace on this important day.
A big thank you to Minister Chambers for sharing the EU Presidency guide with our 6th class pupils. The guide highlights the many facets of this role and all about what Ireland plans to do with it this year. Our student council were delighted to learn more about democracy in action. It reminded them that even if you're a small country your voice matters, a little like the work of the pupils in the council today!

Holly Class have settled really well back into school! 😊 We’ve been enjoying some messy play this week, exploring and having lots of fun together. 🎨

PETNS warmly welcomes all our families for our fir

PETNS warmly welcomes all our families for our first school performance of the year, Peace Day on September 18th at 9am. Our pupils have been working hard to showcase some wonderful performances and celebrate this important day. This year's Peace Day theme is 'Invest in Peace- Everyone, Everywhere, Everyday' which will be reflected in their pupils class discussions and lessons as they prepare to welcome you all to the school.

We are off to a fantastic start in Junior Infants!

We are off to a fantastic start in Junior Infants! Today, we began our stations and had lots of fun exploring a range of exciting fine motor activities. From busy little fingers to lots of concentration and creativity, everyone really enjoyed trying out the different resources! Along the way, we were also developing important skills such as hand-eye coordination, finger strength, pencil control and concentration. We can’t wait for more station fun!
