We have allocated a room upstairs as our “Parent’s Room”.  We hope to establish this room as a place where parents can socialise and get to know each other better. We also hope parents will use it while they are becoming active volunteers in the school, i.e. before or after shared reading activities, creating maths for fun activities, for making story sacks, or preparing for Science For Fun activities. It is important to us that parents have an active role in the school and that they have appropriate facilities while the support the school’s development. We also hope to have tea/coffee mornings here weekly in the coming months.

However, before we start all of the parent activities, we want to make the parents room as welcome and as friendly as possible. We are hoping parents will take charge of the parents room, and make it into an area that all parents will want to go! We have a table and chairs up there, as well as kettle, teapot, cooker, dishes cups etc. however it does need a more homely touch!
