Powerstown Educate Together National School invite applications for School Bus Escort.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The School Bus Escort travels on a bus with pupils attending Birch, Holly, Hawthorn, Maple and Elm classes, supervising them on the journey to and from school.

The School Bus Escort day runs from approximately 7.30am until 8.20am, 1pm – 1.45pm and from 2pm until 2.45pm for the duration of the school calendar. (Will be approximately 10 – 15 hours per week depending on route)

Candidates should have experience in working with children, have an understanding of children with additional needs and be able to communicate with parents and school staff in a professional way.

School Bus Escorts will be expected to travel to and from an agreed pick-up and drop-off point to meet the bus driver (currently at the school).

Training will be provided before commencing the role.

Applicants must supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting form.

Hourly rate of pay as per Dept of Education guidelines
