Our school has been working in partnership with CARA, a national pan-disability sport organisation who provide partnership and support to schools and sports clubs around Ireland to increase sport and physical activity opportunities for people with disabilities across Ireland.

Our whole staff recently completed their Autism in Sport training to help us better our inclusive practices around the inclusion of pupils with autism in sport and physical activity.

Our school has also signed their charter to: be open and understanding of all people with disabilities; access training for our staff; develop and deliver inclusive physical activities; review our equipment and facilities to make sport and physical activity more accessible; and to promote sport for all.

CARA have also provided us with a really helpful list of sports clubs and organisations in Dublin that have also signed this charter – making a pledge to promote inclusive sport.

If your child is interested in taking up a sport outside of school have a look at some of the options in the below document.
