Welcome to Friendship Week @ Powerstown ETNS.

Friendship Week is Amnesty International Ireland’s annual celebration of friendship, solidarity and human rights.

In class we will be talking about:

  • What it means to be a good friend

  • Friendship songs and poems

  • The Coastei Street families’ story

  • Human rights and why they matter

We have created a Friendship Postbox in the Learn Together area. Children are encouraged to post compliment slips and friendship notes in the post box.

Every class will be doing a variety of activities during the week, e.g Buddy System, creating a “Friend – Ship” and a Friendship Tree.

The Student Council are selling friendship bracelets for €2 each. Each bracelet sold will help make a difference to the life of somebody across the world.

For more information about class activities, go to the Class Blogs.
