This week our Green School Committee met to discuss how recycling is going in our classrooms

We created a schedule for bin checkers. The bin checkers did a scan of all bins in classrooms yesterday.

The results showed that the majority of classes were putting waste from their classrooms into the correct bins-

general waste, recycling and the hygiene bin. The bin checkers will continue to monitor bins over the next two weeks and Eco awards will be given out in assembly at the end of the month for the classrooms who are conserving energy, recycling and keeping our school green!

We also gave each class a template and asked them to think of a Green Code for our school this year based around the theme this year -Travel.

Classes will submit their entries to the green school committee and votes for the best one will take place next week. If you would like to work on a slogan, poem or code at home please submit it to Siobhan or Darragh by Wednesday 16th November (template attached).
