The successful applicant/ intern will gain practical experience in:

• Maintenance of equipment e.g. boiler, plumbing lawnmower, lift

• Landscaping: Desigining and mainteance of school garden and grounds

• Carpentry: Basic carptentry skills e.g. making shelves, assembling furniture etc

• DIY Skills: Mending broken appliances / equipment, hanging notice boards, changing light bulbs,

• Grounds keeping: Ensure grounds are maintained to a high standard

• Security: ensuring building is safely opened and secured each evening.

• Traffic control

The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following:

• Child Protection, Health and Safety, Basic maintenance, Security, landscaping/garden design

On completion the intern will have attained skills in:

• Gardening/landscaping, carpentry, DIY, grounds keeping, security, basic plumbing
