Parents will be encouraged to go to the Meeting Room for a brief presentation and questions and answers session. All parents are then encouraged to go to the  Parents’ Room for tea and coffee & meet some of our current parents and members of our Parents Teacher Association while the children get to know each other.

Children with Special Educational Needs

Some children that enrol in school have been referred to professionals such as Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Paediatrician and/or Public Health Nurse in the past. In some cases there are documents and reports in relation to a child’s assessment and/or progress. It is essential that all documentation in relation to your child is presented to the school before Thursday 14th of March. The Department of Education requires us to forward ALL DOCUMENTATION to them before March 15th. This may allow us to apply for extra supports for your child in school. If you do not inform the school of any assessments or referrals (ongoing or past) made for your child and present the relevant paperwork to the school you may be in breach of our enrolment policy and your child’s enrolment could be deemed invalid.

If you have any queries or would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school. Our phone number is 01 8272018. Our email address is info@powerstownet.com. You are also welcome to drop into the school with any queries you may have.

I look forward to meeting you at our meeting on March 13th.

Kind regards

Helena Regan (Príomhóide)
