Meet our newly elected PTA committee members in PETNS!

Chairperson

Julia Turek

Hi, my name is Juli and I’m a mum of Helen in the 6th class and Hanna in Senior Infants.

I’m currently chairperson of PTA in PETNS. You can contact me by email: ptamail@powerstownet.com

Secretary

Caroline Barden

Hi there from me – my name is Caroline Barden. I have been voted in as your first PTA secretary.  So far being a part of the PTA working group last year it’s been a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I’m very much looking forward to an even more fun filled year ahead with the new and more official PTA for PETNS. This is my third year as a parent at PETNS and have two children attending the school – Roisin in Stephen’s Hazel class (2nd class) and Thomas in Naosan’s Sycamore class (Senior Infants).

I love most foods (except gherkins), a good book and tv drama, and the outdoors. My latest bucket list choice is attempting to grow fruit and veg in an allotment. I also qualified as a Classical Pilates teacher earlier this year too.  Please do not hesitate to contact myself or one of the other members of the PTA group. In whatever small way let’s come together to make the school the best place it can be for our growing thinkers!!

Treasurer

Lisa Shortt

My name is Lisa. I have 3 children, all new to Powerstown this year. Harrison in Alder, Megan in Redwood and Dawson in Chestnut. I’m a full time Mum and I’m about to start studying Psychology part time, a decision I came to after accumulating a lot of life experience in the area of children and additional needs. I’m creative, taking part in various craft fairs, especially around Christmas, I try my hand at gardening, but more handy with a hammer, and better at sewing, and I enjoy a good fundraiser.

Public relations

Aneta Majunka

Aneta is a mum of a child in 2nd class and will be helping to build awareness amongst our school community about the great work of the PTA.
