Speech and Language Therapist, Orla McGrath, will deliver a workshop in our school for parents and staff on September 27th September focusing on Gestalt Language Processing.  Orla will run 2 sessions: the first session from 1-2pm, the second session from 2.15 – 3.15pm.

Gestalt Language Processors often use ‘chunks’ of language to communicate, e.g. repetitive phrases, rhymes, song lyrics, etc. This is a very common form of communication for children with autism.

Orla will explain what Gestalt Language processing is and she will share tips and strategies for supporting children who communicate in this way.
