Powerstown Educate Together National School invite applications for School Bus Escort.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The School Bus Escort travels on a bus with pupils attending Birch, Holly and Hawthorn Specialised Classes, accompanying them on the journey to and from school.

The School Bus Escort day runs from approximately 6.30am until 8.20am and from 2.10pm until 4.10pm for the duration of the school calendar. (Will be between 15 hours & 20 hours per week depending on route)

Candidates should have experience in working with children, have an understanding of special needs and be able to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way.

School Bus Escorts will be expected to travel to and from an agreed pick-up and drop-off point to meet the bus driver (currently at the school and/or in Dublin City Centre).

Training will be provided. Applicants must supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting form.

Hourly rate of pay will be €14.19 (inclusive of holiday pay – Bus Escorts will not be paid during school holidays)
