A warm welcome to all the new boys and girls who started in Powerstown Educate Together National School today! A special welcome to all the Junior Infant pupils who had their “First Day in School.” We have lots of new face in Senior Infants, 1st class, 2nd class, 3rd class, 4th class and 5th class. I am sure you are all very excited and enthusiastic about the very busy year ahead!

An extended welcome to all our new parents! We hope that your child has enjoyed their first day in the Powerstown Educate Together community. We are delighted to be able to get to know you all over the coming days, weeks and months. We are always looking for parents to get involved in the school! Keep an eye out on our website, newsletters and check your email addresses for regular updates on the school.

Today your child will receive a letter looking for the names of people who have permission to collect your child. Please return this form as soon as possible. We have also included a notification of allergies and medical conditions and permission to test your child. All letters sent home can be viewed under the tab “Parents – Letters Home”.

All parents will also receive an “Interest Survey” letter. This is just a brief questionnaire for parents and children to complete at home, to better inform the class teacher of your child’s likes and dislikes, interests and hobbies.

Over the coming days we will send you a copy of the details we have for your child in the school. Please ensure these details are correct and inform us of any changes.

Remember the school email is info@powerstownet.com. Ann, our school secretary works from from 9am – 12noon and checks emails regularly throughout the school day. Please email the school any change in your contact details. As a GREEN SCHOOL we are eager to communicate with parents via email, the school website and social networking. This reduces our carbon footprint and supports our Green School Policy. If you have not received an email from the school, please let us know and we can ensure we have the correct email address for you!
