Today the pupils of Powerstown ETNS marked Interna Today the pupils of Powerstown ETNS marked International Peace Day with class performances and a visit from our local TD and the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Services, Reform and Digitalisation, Jack Chambers. The student council were our masters of the ceremony as they delivered our pupils' ideas and messages for Peace on this important day.
A big thank you to Minister Chambers for sharing the EU Presidency guide with our 6th class pupils. The guide highlights the many facets of this role and all about what Ireland plans to do with it this year. Our student council were delighted to learn more about democracy in action. It reminded them that even if you're a small country your voice matters, a little like the work of the pupils in the council today!
