Luttrellstown Community Centre are running a Child Development Course on Thursday Mornings from 11:30 to 1:30pm for 8 weeks. The Course will start this week – Thursday 6^th October. It is specifically geared to parents/carers of Children up to 6 years of age. It might also interest parents who may be interested in choosing Child Care as a Career

The course will be delivered by a Child Care Tutor from Riversdale Adult Education Centre who’s programme ranges from level 3 to Full Level 5 QQI professional Awards.

Details of the course are as follows:

Child Development Children through the Medium of Play for parent/Carers of Children Aged up to and including 6 years

Topics Covered

1. Exploring the different areas of child development
2. Understanding how play helps with the development of the child
3. Exploring toys, games, play ideas and activities used by children and 
4. Demonstrating good communication skills with children.
