pta1Our Parent Teacher Association have training on Monday 24th of October from 7pm – 8pm in the school.

All parents and guardians are invited to attend!

This training is provided by the National Parents’ Council (NPC). The NPC support PTA’s around the country.

The aim of the training is to train Parent Teacher Association in their role as part of the whole school community. The training also ensures that parents have a clear understanding of what parental involvement in the home and in the school should be.

Training for the Parent Association committee – This session creates a clear understanding of the various roles on the committee and is tailor made to suit the needs of the committee. The committee members begin to explore what Parental Involvement should entail, both in the home and in the school. This is in line with the National Strategy to Improve Literacy and Numeracy among children and young people 2011 – 2020, which outlines the role of parents in their children’s education both in the home and in the school.
