A very warm welcome back to all our students and families as we begin another exciting school year here in Powerstown ETNS. A special Powerstown welcome goes out to our new students and families joining us for the first time – we are delighted to have you as part of our school community.
September is always a busy month as we settle into routines, reconnect with friends, and begin our learning journeys for the year ahead. Our School Value of the Month is “Friendly and Welcoming”, and we look forward to seeing this reflected in the kindness, respect and inclusion shown across our school each day. We will celebrate our school value at our September’s school assembly
We have many dates marked on our calendar this month to support our Learn Together curriculum, with the highlight being our Peace Day Performance on Friday, September 19th, a celebration of community, friendship and global peace. We will also be holding PJ Day on September 24th to raise funds for charity, as well as our annual student committee elections. Election season is always a highlight in Powerstown ETNS – classrooms fill with colourful campaign posters, and pupils are encouraged to share their ideas and make speeches if they wish.
