Powerstown ETNS are celebrating Book Week from Monday 3rd March – Friday 7th March 2014.

There is an “book packed” week planned for the boys and girls!

Parents are invited to come in for Shared Reading:

  • Monday @8.30am: Ash Class (Senior Infants)
  • Tuesday @ 8.30am: Chestnut Class (Junior Infants)
  • Wednesday @8.30am: Oak Class (1st and 2nd class)
  • Thursday @8:30am: Sycamore Class (3rd – 5th Class)

Parents, if you have any dual language books or books in different languages that you would be willing to read to a class, please speak with your child’s class teacher.

Paired reading Volunteers from Sycamore class may participate in paired reading in younger classes.
Home school reading project ‘My favourite book’ All classes to be given ‘My favourite book’ parent My favourite book display
Class survey of favourite book (integrated with maths, data) During maths time in classes Graphs to be displayed in Book Week Exhibition
Assembly 9-9.30am including 5 minute DEAR time for teachers and students
