Powerstown ETNS is delighted to celebrate Book Week during the week of March 21st – 25th. This year we are focusing on a multilingual Book Week! Children will be given a myth or legend to write about from their home country in their home language as their homework this week. We kindly ask parents to support your child to record this piece of writing in your own language at home. Our hope is to create a wonderful collection of myths & legends that represent our fantastic, diverse school and it’s languages & stories.

Parents Shared Reading Day – March 24th
We are also inviting parents in for multilingual reading of stories on Thursday March 24th from 09:00am – 10:00am to read to their child’s class & school hall. All parents are encouraged to read stories in their home language too! If you are able to attend, please let us know in this form here.

We are hosting a competition for pupils to take a picture of them reading a book in a most UNUSUAL place! Entries can be sent to Darragh at darragh@powerstownet.com

Winners of the competition will receive a prize from the book fair on Friday March 25th.

Book Dress up Day March 25th
Children are encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character on Friday March 25th. We are hoping to see lots of homemade efforts and prizes will be given to best efforts on the day.
