8.45 – 9.05 – Short workshop with Junior Infant classes
9.15 – 9.35 – Short workshop with Senior Infant classes
9.35 – 10.10 – Site check and prep for willow dome
10.30 – 11.30: Workshop with 3rd and 4th classes
  • Presentation on recognition and identification of birds
  • Demo of making of a willow bird feeder
  • Demo of making feeder with plastic bottles
  • Discussion on suitable bird food
  • Filling bird feeders
Bird Watching in Tyrrelstown House
Childrenw ill use telescopes and binoculars to complete bird watching activities
12.00 – 1.00: Group 1 site visit in Tyrrelstown house
1.00 – 2.00: Group 2 site visit in Tyrrelstown house
Friday 27th April
  • Build the willow structure – dome and crawl tunnel
  • Site and hang bird boxes
  • Site and hang bird feeders
