There will also be time for questions and answers. You will be invited to take a tour of the school, whereby class teachers and children will introduce you to all curriculum areas. Please feel free during your tour to ask staff any questions that you may have.

Event: Application for extra supports if your child has any Special Educational Needs

Date: Tuesday 10th March

Time: 1pm

Some children that enrol in school have been referred to professionals such as Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Paediatrician and/or Public Health Nurse in the past. In some cases there are documents and reports in relation to a child’s assessment and/or progress. It is essential that all documentation in relation to your child is presented to the school on or before Tuesday 10th March. The Department of Education requires us to forward ALL DOCUMENTATION to the National Council for Special Education. This may allow us to apply for extra supports for your child in school. This information is also used to developing learning programmes for your child. If you do not inform the school of any assessments or referrals (ongoing or past) made for your child and present the relevant paperwork to the school you may be in breach of our enrolment policy and your child’s enrolment could be deemed invalid.

Parent Information Sessions:

We are in the process of organising monthly information meetings for parents. Topics for these meetings include; Preparing my child for School, Sports and Activities for my Child, Talk from Public Health Nurse & other Health Professionals, Talk from Nutritionist/Dietician. We will confirm with you dates and times of these meetings when they are confirmed. If you have a topic that you think may be popular for parents, please let us know.
