We have been reading the story Dear Zoo as part of our ‘Amazing Animal’ topic and during Aistear the children wrote their own version of the book. 

When they found out it was Linzi’s son Otis’ favourite book, the class wanted to read their book to him. Otis came into Sycamore class and absolutely loved hearing the children read about the different animals that were sent from the zoo and why they sent them back, including a turtle who was too slow, a parrot who was too noisy and a spider who was too scary! You can watch the full video of the class reading to Otis on the Senior Infant Class blog.
