Redwood classThe Redwood class have been super busy throughout Term 1. Here are the highlights of the term. For more information please go to the Redwood Blog by clicking here.

  • During the week we’ve been working on projects. Some groups are doing a website (with home made YouTube video ) and some are making movies using the app I movie .
The projects are about climate change . The question is how  climate change could affect Ireland.

Also we have been working on maths . 4th class have been working on division , 5th class have been learning how to subtract fractions and last but not least 6th class have been working on all sorts of fractions. We’ve  also been working on Irish writing a comic of some sort about a girl called Amy that is with a friend Leah  and is in the city they find their friend Sally. Some children had to do it for homework but all came out well .

The  assembly this morning was about Africa and how children live in Africa. There are 58 countries in Africa . There is also the longest river in the world the Nile and a famous dessert the Sahara. The lovely principal in our school  Helena Trench was giving out awards to several children who have been working hard for the week. The people in Redwood who got a  certificate award were: Victor for work to be proud of, Candy got her award for concentrating on her Irish, Bianca also got an award for cleaning up the classroom (she wasn’t even asked to) , Chloe  got an award for resilience and Gabija got an award for best around school.
